Being Health Questions
What should a new client know about working with you?
I believe therapy is a creative and explorative process. I hope to walk with clients on their journey to self-discovery and empowerment. Through self-awareness and expression, I believe the human soul and spirit can come alive.
Do you have experience working with any specific types of patients?
I have worked with women with a significant history of relational and attachment trauma, and have also conducted a lot of grief work. I also enjoy working with clients who are open and want to use the expressive arts as part of the therapeutic process.
What can you share that would be relevant to prospective patients?
I am an artist, painter and musician along with being a therapist. The creative process is a very important part of my own healing journey. I have worked in a lot of different settings including homeless shelters, hospitals and outpatient centers focusing on art as the center of the therapeutic process. I deeply believe in my work and have witnessed magical transformations through therapy and the therapeutic process.
What do you find most interesting about Being Health's integrated care model?
I believe in a holistic and integrated approach to healthcare. In my mental health practice, I prioritize acknowledging all systems that may impact an individual's well-being. At Being Health, I am privileged to work within an integrated care model alongside a diverse team with different areas of focus and expertise. This collaborative environment allows us to provide comprehensive and dynamic care, addressing the multifaceted aspects of our patients' health and offering healing and a profound sense of well-being. What I find most intriguing about Being Health's integrated care model is its ability to merge various approaches to health care, resulting in high-quality care that caters to the unique needs of each individual we serve.
What’s your favorite thing to do for self care?
My favorite thing to do for self-care involves creating art, particularly painting. When faced with challenges or the need to process emotions, I find peace and fulfillment in expressing myself through artistic mediums. Writing and painting serve as powerful outlets for me to confront and navigate difficult feelings. Through the transformative process of exploring movement, color, and light, I can process and transform my experiences. I've learned that embracing my emotions and challenges as valuable lessons allows me to alchemize the energies into feelings that foster personal growth and provide an integrated and whole experience of being in the world.
